How we do it.

By learning new skills taught in our facility, children will develop a positive self-image through guidance and motivation from our staff. We are committed to providing a rewarding environment at all times. The skills we teach are used to improve form, technique, and build healthy minds and bodies. Our goal is not only to teach new tumbling skills, but to pass along life lessons such as hard work, determination, and coordination. We welcome all new students to join our program and can't wait to build strong relationships as we grow. Our tumbling season runs from August-May, and Team students will preform a short routine at the end of the season to show off what they’ve learned. For students who are not interested in participating in our performance, we have a special “Skills Tumble” class just for them! Check out the Classes page to read about some of the skills our students will be learning in each level.

Meet Rachel

Rachel Scurr has always had a dream to own and operate her very own gym. In August 2018, she made her dream become a reality and opened Tuck & Tumble. Rachel started gymnastics at 6 years old, and grew up as a Level 10 competitive gymnast with Desert Devils in Mesa, Arizona. Rachel was able to continue her gymnastics career at a Division 1 College, Brigham Young University. After competing with the team for two years, she decided to join the BYU Cheerleading team. She spent her last two years of school cheering for the sports teams at BYU and also got to travel to Australia to compete, and win an international cheerleading competition.

Rachel was involved with coaching young kids, ages four to 16, in gymnastics and tumbling during her college years.  She enjoys helping people gain confidence to reach their goals and do more than they could ever imagine. Rachel is excited to continue teaching students the tumbling skills they need to excel in the future. Whether your child’s passion is tumbling, cheerleading, gymnastics or dance, Rachel believes that Tuck & Tumble can provide the best training needed to become a powerful and technical tumbler.

She really loves being around kids and helping them improve and meet their goals. Mailee started coaching at Tuck & Tumble in the summer of 2021.

She will be competing level 10 this fall at Gold Medal Gymnastics. Her favorite events are vault and floor, especially floor because of all the tumbling. Gymnastics is one of Sadie’s main priorities. It has taught her so much in life and she is so grateful for her coaches, teammates and the sport itself. Sadie’s ultimate goal is to compete at the collegiate level after graduating high school. In her free time she loves to be outdoors and hanging out with friends and family. Sadie has a true passion for working with kids. She feels that there is nothing better them seeing them achieve their goals. Sadie started coaching at Tuck & Tumble in the summer of 2021.

At 10 years old she got more involved with dance, and was on a team at Dance Studio C for about 6 years. There she did tumbling and all different other dance styles where she got to compete with her team at competitions all throughout the year. Avery loves working with kids because she likes to watch them improve and grow on the skills they are working to master.

Join the Coaching Team!

Fill out the following questionnaire, and we will reach out when we are looking for more new coaches! it is important that our coaches love working with kids by helping them achieve their goals. At Tuck & Tumble, knowing proper form and technique is just as important as having patience, a positive coaching style, and being confident in leading a group. We prefer to hire coaches who have multiple years of experience in spotting and coaching, but we will also do training sessions so all coaches are prepared to lead a group. If you’ve had any years of experience in gymnastics, cheerleading, or tumbling please consider applying!
